I’m proud of the work done every day by Garfield County Sheriff’s Deputies and the entire agency. Their commitment has helped make Garfield County a safe and welcoming place to raise a family. From the very first day, our deputies are taught that leadership matters, and those values continue to be the foundation of this office.

For me, integrity has to come first. The people of Garfield County deserve deputies who are honest, professional, and trustworthy. As your Sheriff, I will continue to hire and retain the kind of men and women you can count on. And for anyone who breaks that trust, accountability will be non-negotiable.

I also believe strongly in transparency. As Sheriff, I will make improving communication between our communities and the Sheriff’s Office a top priority. I will accomplish this through regular community meetings and by using social media to keep citizens informed and engaged. When citizens and law enforcement work together, we build trust, and that trust makes everyone safer.

The Sheriff’s Office carries many responsibilities—from running the jail to keeping our communities safe. If elected, I will keep our focus on providing excellent service while also being fiscally responsible. With revenues declining, it’s more important than ever to make sure taxpayer dollars are used wisely and that core services remain strong.

Over my 23 years in law enforcement—and as a lifelong citizen of this county—I’ve seen firsthand the challenges that growth brings. Increased traffic has led to more crashes and more complaints from neighbors about dangerous drivers. That’s why I will create a dedicated traffic safety unit to directly address these concerns and make our roads safer for everyone.

And finally, I believe in partnership. As Sheriff, I won’t pretend to have every answer. What I will do is work alongside you—our citizens, our leaders, and our community partners—to find solutions to the challenges we share.

Garfield County is a vibrant, growing county. And as we grow, my goal is simple: to keep our community safe.

With integrity, transparency, and accountability as my guide, I will make sure the Sheriff’s Office continues to be an agency you can trust, one that is dedicated to serving every citizen of Garfield County.
